The Federation (FBiH) entity’s Police Administration (FUP) conducted a coded operation named “Olympus” in the Sarajevo Canton area, resulting in the seizure of a large quantity of narcotics, weapons, and explosives, alongside the arrest of one individual and the initiation of a manhunt for another.
According to the official statement from the FUP, the operation was executed on July 10 under the supervision of the Cantonal Prosecutor’s Office of the Sarajevo Canton. The action targeted the documentation of criminal offenses regarding the unauthorized production and distribution of illicit drugs, as well as the illegal possession of weapons or explosive materials.
Acting on an order issued by the Municipal Court in Sarajevo, FUP officers conducted a thorough search targeting an individual identified by the initials A. S. (born 1992), including the residential properties, auxiliary facilities, and the passenger vehicle used by the suspect.
During the search, law enforcement officers found and temporarily seized approximately 4.5 kilograms of a substance resembling cannabis, around 400 grams of a substance resembling cocaine, five liters of amphetamine oil, and approximately 30 liters of methanol, which is utilized alongside amphetamine oil in the production of amphetamine.
The police officers also discovered and temporarily confiscated one “Zolja” handheld rocket launcher, four hand grenades, one automatic rifle, four magazines, and approximately 400 pieces of ammunition. Furthermore, the authorities seized precision scales, vacuum packaging equipment, mobile phones, and other items that can be directly linked to the execution of the specified crimes.

Due to the existence of grounds for suspicion that he committed the aforementioned offenses, A. S. was arrested. Following criminal processing and the completion of the official crime report, the suspect was handed over to the further jurisdiction of the Cantonal Prosecutor’s Office of the Sarajevo Canton.
Another individual identified by the initials E. I. (born 1989), who is also connected to the commission of these crimes, is currently at large, and the Federal Police Administration will issue an official search warrant for the suspect.
The FUP noted that they continue to take all necessary measures and actions within their jurisdiction to prevent and suppress the abuse of narcotics throughout the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
